For the first time in the history of my business I had a Friday|Saturday back to back wedding, and it may have been the most fun I have had at work in a LONG time. (and how crazy that both grooms names were Tyler) So I am calling it the TYLER weekend! Well no more talk about Friday’s wedding, its time to talk about Saturday’s wedding.
Brittany and Tyler are such a fun couple, full of life and laughter, crazy dancing, bridal party antics and more! The love these two have for each other was so evident in their beautiful ceremony at Dixie Dreams.
Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your special day, and we hope you LOVE your images.
I cannot believe Tyler & McKinney’s day has already past, it seemed like just yesterday we were photographing engagement photos! These two lovebirds had a GORGEOUS ceremony at Landis Baptist Church followed by a sweet (and large) reception at The Villa Franca Estate in China Grove.
The rain decided to make its presence known early on in the day, pushing most of our photography indoors… UNTIL, it COMPLETELY cleared up after the ceremony allowing us to capture some AMAZING images!
Growing up as a race car driver, moving into the NASCAR photography realm, I always love the chance to photograph fellow racing enthusiasts. However, this couple just takes it up a notch. Not only is Ashley one of the sweetest girls I have ever met, she is also a mechanic in NASCAR, Ron too is involved in NASCAR as the long running car chief for 7 time champion Jimmie Johnson. Talk about a power couple! These two were so sweet and easy going and you could just feel their love radiating from the second they saw each other.
Ashley spent her time physically building many of items at her wedding, she laid out the entire design, tables and EVERY little detail was enacted and comisioned by her. It was easily one of the most beautifully decorated weddings I have ever seen!
Congratulations and I wish you YEARS of luck in the future!
A wedding on a Thursday, it was an out of the norm request, but I was excited to do something different. Ashley and Chris put together what I like to call a Pop Up wedding, once they were ready they made the trek a couple of blocks from the hotel to a nice area in Romare Bearden park, a ceremony was performed with only immediate family and a couple of friends (one via facetime) It was beautiful, it was simple, and it was entirely about their families becoming one.
Although, we couldn’t appear at the park without a quick stop at Ashley’s favorite coffee shop… STARBUCKS.
Here are a few of my favorites from their special day.
Thomas & Katherine | Villa Franca Estate | China Grove, NC
The Villa Franca Estate is a BEAUTIFUL venue located in China Grove, NC (just 40 minutes north east of Charlotte). It features a heart shaped ceremony location, a treed entry way, beautiful 1869 Home that is beautifully painted for photos, as well as a gorgeous fully draped tent area for the reception. Katherine and Thomas “Taz” were married on September 10, 2017 in a beautiful ceremony. The weather was fantastic although they had a few friends who were stuck in Florida due to hurricane Irma.
Their love for each other was evident from the first look to the last dance and everything in between. A fantastic couple to work with and an even more welcoming family.
This past wedding was a special one, not only do we love shooting at Dixie Dreams, but this wedding held a little more importance because one of my absolute favorite people Jessica Deese Tucker, who by the way is a FANTASTIC coordinator, was playing double duty. Not only was she planning/coordinating the wedding, but it was also her brother Josh’s wedding day, making it that much more important.
Saturday was my first time meeting the lovely couple and their beautiful daughter Emery. These two have been together since 7th or 8th grade and their connection was just so obvious. I am so happy that they asked me to capture their special day! Below are some of my favorite images from their day! Congratulations on your family of 3!
Shawn & Alison were married at a gorgeous ceremony on June 30, 2017. These two were an absolute ball to work with. Alison was a very laid back, beautiful, and fun bride. Shawn was full of energy, excitement and had a ton of fun with his photos! Their ceremony was performed by Shawns uncle, who had all of the guests in a fit of laughter, its always great to see family members perform the ceremonies, it allows them to customize it to the couple and you know there will always be some awesome stories.

I know how hard it is to plan a wedding, stay on top of all the details all while staying on a budget. I have created this helpful little checklist/budget planner to help keep you on track. It also shows some ways other than photography that we can help with for your special day.
What a great way to start the Memorial Day weekend! Matt & Love traded vows at the beautiful Peninsula Yacht Club in Mooresville, North Carolina on Friday. Their wedding consisted of lake front vows, amazing guests, great food, cake and a boat themed wedding!
The day started out in Davidson, NC at the Homestead Suites, where Matt, Love and their attendants got ready. We then travelled to the Peninsula Yacht Club where we could truly appreciate the amazing weather they had! The girls finished getting ready and then we did a private first look! Their love was so evident when we did that first look, both beaming with light, they shared more than a few kisses as they chatted away about their upcoming nuptials.
Take a look below to see their day through my eyes!
Here I am, blogging for my business! All thanks to this girl right here Cortney Clements (Dryden), She has been telling me how important blogging is for SEO, and to take control of my media instead of relying on social media pages to reach my audience. Thanks to all of her amazing knowledge (Y’all she has like 40,000 followers) I am here and ready to go! What better way to start off than showing off her beautiful wedding!
May 13, 2017
First of all, I have been photographing weddings for over 7 years (time seriously flies by) and I have NEVER been sick for a wedding. Go figure the morning of Cortney’s wedding I woke up with huge sinus issues and ended up going to Urgent Care. The tricky thing about being your own boss and photographing weddings is that there is literally no such thing as a sick day! I do have back up photographers I could contact if something detrimental were to happen but other than that, the show must go on!
Cortney had a BEAUTIFUL wedding at the Langtree Plantation in Mooresville, North Carolina. It was a beautiful day, with temperatures in the low 70s, an over cast sky which makes for amazing photos and of course a beautiful bride, groom and wedding party.
